The OCTA Research Team on Monday reported “very high” Covid-19 positivity rates in seven areas as of Nov. 19.

In a tweet, OCTA fellow Guido David said very high Covid-19 positivity rates were recorded in Aklan, Benguet, Camarines Sur, Isabela, La Union, Misamis Oriental and Tarlac.

Metro Manila’s positivity rate slightly increased from 7.5 percent as of Nov. 12 to 7.6 percent as of Nov. 19.

The World Health Organization said the ideal positivity-rate threshold was 5 percent.

In a tweet reply, Guido said no significant Covid-19 surge was expected so far save for “upticks in provinces.”
