Eighty-six percent of Filipinos approve of and trust President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., an OCTA Research survey has found.

OCTA’s Tugon ng Masa poll, results of which were released on Wednesday, saw the president register an 86-percent trust rating and a 78-percent performance rating.

Marcos Jr.’s disapproval rating was 5 percent, while 4 percent expressed distrust in the president.

The highest trust rating was tallied in Mindanao with 92 percent. Marcos Jr. garnered an 82-percent trust rating in Metro Manila.

Meanwhile, Vice President Sara Duterte-Carpio also received high trust and approval scores at 86 percent and 80 percent, respectively.

Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri received a 52-percent trust rating, while House Speaker Martin Romualdez had a 38-percent trust rating.

The OCTA survey was conducted from Oct. 23 to 27. It had 1,200 adult respondents. John Ezekiel J. Hirro
