Metro Manila’s Covid-19 indicators over the past seven days suggest that the region is at “low risk” for the disease, the OCTA Research Team said.
In a report posted by Dr. Guido David on Twitter, OCTA said Metro Manila was “very close” to reaching the “very low risk” threshold.
The group noted that Covid-19’s reproduction rate in the capital region increased from 0.26 to 0.38, but the positivity rate decreased from 2.8 percent to 2.5 percent.
OCTA said the seven-day average in new cases decreased by only four percent this week, which was lower compared with last week’s 23-percent decrease.
Metro Manila is under Alert Level 1 until March 31.
As of March 21, the region has more than 18,000 active Covid-19 cases.
