The OCTA Research Team on Wednesday said Metro Manila’s Covid-19 growth rate slowed to 5 percent over the past week.

In a tweet, OCTA fellow Guido David noted a nine-point decrease in the growth rate which was 14 percent in the previous week.

The region’s Covid-19 reproduction number also saw a slight decline from 1.24 to 1.17.

Its seven-day average increased to 1,275 from last week’s 1,209.

The region’s average daily attack rate also grew to 8,85 per 100,000 from last week’s 8.39.

“The trends need to be consistent for about a week before we can confidently say there is a downward trend. In the meantime, stay safe, everyone,” David said.
