Malacañang on Thursday said President Rodrigo Duterte would not use his final State of the Nation Address (SONA) to bare his plans for the 2022 elections.
Palace spokesman Harry Roque made the assurance four days before the president’s SONA.
Importante po is the roadmap for his last year in office,” Roque said in a Palace briefing.
On Wednesday, Roque said that Duterte had already finalized and begun rehearsals for his speech.
Duterte will deliver his sixth and final SONA on Monday, July 26, at the Batasang Pambansa.
But knowing Duterte, Roque said the president could edit his SONA as he talks.
“Sasagutin din niya iyong tanong na what and where are we now and looking forward doon sa huling taon ng panunungkulan ng ating presidente,” he added. John Ezekiel J. Hirro
