The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Monday reminded the public to prohibit public displays of affection (PDA) on Valentine’s Day due to the continuing coronavirus pandemic.
The PNP’s public information office said in a statement that the public should still observe health protocols as they celebrate the special occasion.
“Iwasan din po ang mga public display of affection so we can set a good example to others, lalo na ngayon that part of the protocol is to wear face masks,” the PNP said.
The national police force also advised the public to be cautious of their surroundings.
“Mag-ingat din po sa mga criminal elements lurking in areas where people can come together. Let’s avoid being victims of theft, robbery and other forms of criminality,” the PNP said.
“Ngayong Araw ng mga Puso, let us show that love to our fellow countrymen by contributing towards a healthy and safe living,” it added. Ronald Espartinez
