Metropolitan Manila Development Authority chairman Benhur Abalos announced that the general curfew in Metro Manila will end on November 4, Thursday.

This move will give malls the power to extend operating hours to control the crowds flocking together as the holiday season comes near.

Abalos said mall operators in Metro Manila have decided to open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekends. The new mall hours will take effect from November 15, 2021 to January 3, 2022.

“Pumayag ang mayors na i-lift ang curfew starting November 4,” Abalos told reporters.

“However, mayroon silang curfew on minors, iyong iba, ‘yun ay existing pa rin iyon,” he added.

Currently, the curfew hours in Metro Manila are from 12 a.m. to 4 a.m. Ronald Espartinez
