The Philippines received 1,878,000 doses of reformulated Pfizer vaccines intended for children aged 5 to 11 in the past two days, the National Task Force (NTF) Against Covid-19 said.

The doses were procured by the national government through the World Bank.

According to the NTF, the latest batch of doses brought to 239.7 million the total Covid-19 vaccine doses delivered to the Philippines since February 2021.

The national government aims to fully vaccinate 15 million children belonging in the 5 to 11 age bracket.

More than 65.4 million Filipinos have been fully vaccinated as of March 23.

Nearly 141 million vaccine doses have been administered nationwide according to the National Vaccinations Operations Center.
