Metro Manila will remain under Alert Level 2 for the remainder of February, Malacañang announced on Monday.
In a statement, acting Palace spokesman Karlo Nograles said the decision was made by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Emerging Infectious Diseases.
There had been talks about Metro Manila de-escalating to Alert Level 1, but health officials said it was too early to ease the current protocols in the capital region.
Nograles also announced that the following areas would be under Alert Level 3:
- Iloilo City
- Iloilo Province
- Guimaras
- Zamboanga City
- Davao de Oro
- Davao Occidental
- South Cotabato
The following will be under Alert Level 2:
Luzon:
- Cordillera Administrative Region: Abra, Apayao, Baguio City, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga and Mountain Province in the;
- Region I: Dagupan City, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union and Pangasinan
- Region II: Batanes, City of Santiago, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino
- Region III: Bulacan, Angeles City, Aurora, Bataan, Nueva Ecija, Olongapo City, Pampanga, Tarlac and Zambales
- Region IV-A: Cavite, Rizal, Batangas, Laguna, Lucena City and Quezon Province
- Region IV-B: Marinduque, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Palawan, Puerto Princesa City and Romblon
- Region V: Albay, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Masbate, Naga City and Sorsogon
Visayas:
- Region VI: Aklan, Antique, Bacolod City, Capiz and Negros Occidental
- Region VII: Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, Bohol, Cebu, Negros Oriental and Siquijor
- Region VIII: Ormoc City, Tacloban City, Eastern Samar, Leyte, Northern Samar, Western Samar, Biliran and Southern Leyte
Mindanao
- Region IX: City of Isabela, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga del Norte and Zamboanga Sibugay Region X; Bukidnon, Cagayan de Oro City, Camiguin, Iligan City, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental and Misamis Oriental
- Region XI: Davao City, Davao del Sur, Davao del Norte and Davao Oriental
- Region XIIGeneral Santos City, North Cotabato, Sarangani and Sultan Kudarat
- Region XIII (Caraga);Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Butuan City and Dinagat Islands
- Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao: Basilan, Maguindanao, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, Cotabato City and Lanao del Sur
