The OCTA Research group said Metro Manila is now at low risk for coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) with the steady decrease of new cases reported.

The National Capital Region (NCR)’s seven-day case average declined to 901 from 1,405 in the previous week, OCTA’s Guido David tweeted.

Positivity rate also decreased to 6% this week from 7% reported in the previous week. The World Health Organization said earlier that the ideal percentage is below 5%.

The region’s healthcare utilization rate and intensive care unit (ICU) occupancy rate is at 35% and 46% respectively as of Oct. 24.

The number of infected individuals per 100,000, also known as the average daily attack rate stands at 7.

Mandaluyong, San Juan, and Valenzuela are under moderate risk with an average daily attack rate above 10. However, 14 localities in NCR are now considered under low risk, David said. Ronald Espartinez
