An autopsy is set to be conducted by the National Bureau of Investigation on the fatalities in the recent shootout between the operatives of the Quezon City Police District and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency right outside a fastfood restaurant in Commonwealth Avenue on Wednesday.

“Isasailalim sa autopsy ang mga nasawi sa misencounter sa pagitan ng PDEA at QCPD,” NBI spokesperson Atty. Ferdinand Lavin said during an interview with radio station DZBB.

“Full forensic investigation ang isasagawa ng NBI,” he said.

“Iba’t ibang services ng NBI, magsasagawa ng imbestigasyon,” Lavin added.

Lavin added that the NBI has already sent a forensic team to investigate the crime scene, the parking lot of a fast-food outlet.

“May nakuha na ring accounts ng witnesses. We are still hoping na maisagawa ang pag-turn over ng CCTV,” Lavin said.

Meanwhile, the NBI said that they are still waiting for the turnover of more pieces of evidence and witnesses under the PDEA and QCPD. Ronald dela Cruz
