Kidapawan City – The Philippine National Police (PNP) considers the murder of local broadcaster Eduardo ‘Ed’ Dizon “case-cleared”.

PNP Spokesperson Lt. Col Bernard Tayong said the PNP Special Investigation Task Group formed to investigate the murder of Dizon has already identified four suspects based on the CCTV footage collected and testimonies of witnesses interviewed by the police.

All suspects remain still at-large. Three suspects have been named and charged in court while the remaining suspect’s identity and involvement in the murder is still being investigated.

The police refuse to divulge the motive for the killing but Presidential Task Force on Media Security chief Joel Sy Egco revealed in an earlier interview with pressONE.ph that the killing was related to Dizon’s job as a journalist.

Dizon was killed on the night of July 10 while on his way home after his shift at the local radio station Brigada News FM. (Rommel F. Lopez)
