Naga City – For the first time, this city will soon welcome 93 “beauties for a cause” candidates from around the world for a chance to win the prestigious Miss Earth crown in October 2019.
This was revealed by Mayor Nelson Legacion who said that Carousel Productions, Inc., the organization undertaking the said beauty pageant, has confirmed holding the event’s Coronation Night at the Jesse M. Robredo (JMR) Coliseum in the city
“This is the first time in the history of Naga that we are hosting an international event and I hope that everyone will be on board to ensure the success of this big occasion,” the chief executive emphasized.
To live up to the international audience’s expectation and experience, Legacion bared renovation plans of the 12,000 seater JMR coliseum, which includes installing exhaust fans, high-volume low-speed ceiling fans and air coolers at the middle aisles.
While viewing the drone shot of JMR, Architect Louie Dumalaon, the President of United Architect of the Philippines, noted that “the moment we set our eyes at the JMR Coliseum, we know it is the perfect venue for the coronation night of Ms. Earth International 2019.”
Moreover, a security plan has been drawn with the assistance of the Joint Operations Center (JOC) for the safety not only of the candidates but also of foreigners and other spectators and guests.
