The Philippines received more Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna Covid-19 vaccine doses over the last two days, bringing the country’s total vaccine deliveries to more than 71 million doses.

A total of 391,950 Pfizer doses were delivered on Wednesday night, and 1,233,300 Moderna jabs arrived in the Philippines on Thursday morning.

Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. said the latest batch of Pfizer doses would be deployed to Central Luzon and Calabarzon.

Meanwhile, the Moderna doses will be deployed to Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Central Visayas, Davao region, Soccsksargen and other areas with high Covid-19 cases.

Since February, the country has received 71,324,590 Covid-19 vaccine doses.
