The Philippines has over three million minors vaccinated against Covid-19, President Rodrigo Duterte said on Tuesday.
“I am very pleased to know that we have already vaccinated more than three million minors aged 12 to 17,” Duterte said in a “Talk to the People” address.
The president said more than 76.5 million vaccine doses had been deployed nationwide.
The Philippines started vaccinating minors against Covid-19 in October.
The country’s pediatric vaccination program is limited to minors aged 12 to 17.
Only the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines have been approved for use for minors by the Philippine Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
