President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has named more appointees for the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and other line agencies.

In a statement, the DOTr said the following Marcos Jr. appointees were sworn into office by Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista on separate occasions:

  • Robert de Leon as DOTr undersecretary for administration
  • Elmer Francisco Sarmiento as undersecretary for the maritime sector
  • Timothy John Batan as undersecretary for planning and project development
  • Teofilo Guadiz III as LTO assistant secretary
  • Carlito Castillo as Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) assistant general manager for engineering
  • Francisquiel Mancile as PPA assistant general manager for operations.
  • Hernani Nieves Fabia as administrator of the Maritime Industry Authority.

De Leon, topnotcher of the 2016 environmental planning licensure examinations, previously served as undersecretary of the Department of Budget and Management.

Sarmiento was president and chief executive officer of Royal Cargo, a local specialized logistics solutions provider, where he worked for 37 years.

Batan was DOTr undersecretary for railways under the Duterte administration, while Guadiz used to be the director of LTO Region 1

Castillo was PPA manager for port construction and maintenance, while Mancile served as PPA port manager of the Marinduque/Quezon Port Management Office.

Fabia was president of PNTC Colleges, a seafarers training facility based in Cavite and Quezon City. He has 38 years of experience in the maritime industry.
