Metro Manila has fully vaccinated more than 75 percent of its target population against Covid-19, Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chairman Benhur Abalos said on Monday.

In a Palace briefing, Abalos said 75.57 percent of eligible vaccine recipients in the capital region had completed their vaccination.

“Anong susunod? In one month, ang projections po namin, aabot siguro tayo ng mga 84 percent,” he added.

By December, Abalos said the number could breach 90 percent.

The Covid-19 reproduction rate in Metro Manila has declined from 1.9 in August to 0.83 as of Oct. 2.

Reproduction rate or the R number is a mathematical term that tells how many people a single person with a disease can infect.
