Vice Presidential aspirant and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio has been adopted by the People’s Reform Party (PRP), the group established by the late Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago, for the upcoming 2022 national elections.

PRP president and the late senator’s widower, Narciso Santiago Jr., said that party members agreed unanimously to accept Duterte-Carpio as their vice-presidential bet, since the party has no official candidate yet for the said post.

“Among the candidates for the positions of president and vice president, Sarah (sic) exemplifies Miriam’s character, vision, honesty, courage, and commitment to public service,” Santiago said in a statement.

“We strongly believe that Sarah (sic) will never fail the Filipino people so let us give her the chance to serve us well,” he added.
