Metro Manila will remain under general community quarantine (GCQ) from June 15 to June 30, President Rodrigo Duterte announced late Monday.

The nation’s capital region, which now has 13,716 Covid-19 cases, has been under GCQ since June 1, when Duterte relaxed quarantine measures in the whole country.

Cebu City and Talisay City will shift to the stricter enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) and modified ECQ, respectively.

Duterte announced that the following areas will be under GCQ until June 30:

  • Region II: Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino and Santiago City
  • Region III: Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Tarlac and Olongapo City
  • Calabarzon: Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon, and Occidental Mindoro
  • Region VII: Bohol, Cebu, Negros Oriental, Siquijor, Mandaue City and Lapu-Lapu City
  • Mindanao: Davao City and Zamboanga City

The rest of the country will remain under modified GCQ until June 30.

As of June 15, 26,420 Covid-19 cases have been tallied in the country, with 5,954 recoveries and 1,088 deaths.
