Metro Manila will remain under Alert Level 2 from Dec. 1 to 15, Malacañang has announced.

The new set of alert levels have all provinces, highly urbanized cities, and independent component cities in the country under Alert Level 2 but Apayao.

Apayao will be under Alert Level 3 from Dec. 1 to 15.

The alert level system replaced the community quarantines the government had been imposing to curb the spread of Covid-19.

The country, which has been seeing a downturn in its daily Covid-19 cases, recorded 665 new infections on Monday, the lowest since July 2020.

It has 16,289 active Covid-19 cases as of Nov. 29. John Ezekiel J. Hirro
