Metro Manila mayors elected not to expand the age group allowed to go outside amid general community quarantine, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) general manager Jojo Garcia said on Monday.

The Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases earlier approved a resolution allowing persons aged 15 to 65 to go outside their residences under any community quarantine classification.

“Alam naman po natin ang Metro Manila nasa general community quarantine pa rin kaya gradual na lang po iyong increase, so, 18 to 65 po ang recommendation ng ating mayors,” Garcia explained in a Palace briefing.

Metro Manila will also adopt the 12 midnight to 4 a.m. curfew recommended by President Rodrigo Duterte’s Cabinet, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) general manager Jojo Garcia said on Monday.

Garcia said implementation will be within the week.

“[Ito] po ay mangyayari itong linggong ito dahil aayusin pa po iyong mga ordinansa o (executive orders) ng ating mga mayors pero expected po within the week, 12 to 4 na po ang ating curfew,” he said.

Only Navotas will not enforce the new curfew hours.

“Iyong mga industrial sites naman nila allowed naman ang APOR (authorized persons outside residence) diyan na magtrabaho, so, dito po para lang maiwasan iyong mga naka-standby, mga nag-iinuman, nakikipagtsismisan sa kalsada kaya binigay pa rin ni Mayor Toby (Tiangco) iyong 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. sa Navotas,” Garcia added.
