The OCTA Research Team on Wednesday reported that the Covid-19 positivity rate in Metro Manila had decreased to 7.8 percent.

OCTA fellow Guido David said the region’s positivity rate saw a decrease of 1.7 percentage points from October 31.

The positivity rate remained above the World Health Organization’s ideal threshold of 5 percent.

However, David said the positivity rate could reach below 5 percent by the end of this month.

Metro Manila has recorded 3,952 active Covid-19 cases as of Nov. 9.
