Metro Manila and 15 other areas will be under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) from Sept. 1 to Sept. 7, Palace spokesman Harry Roque announced on Saturday.

The quarantine classifications were decided upon by the country’s inter-agency pandemic task force.

Aside from Metro Manila, the following places will be under MECQ until Sept. 7:

Luzon

  • Apayao
  • Ilocos Norte
  • Bulacan 
  • Bataan 
  • Cavite
  • Lucena City
  • Rizal
  • Laguna 

Visayas

  • Aklan
  • Iloilo Province 
  • Iloilo City 
  • Lapu-Lapu City
  • Cebu City
  • Mandaue City

 Mindanao:

  • Cagayan de Oro City 

According to Roque, Metro Manila, Bataan and Laguna would have “added restrictions” including on dining, personal care services and religious activities.

Meanwhile, the following areas will be under general community quarantine (GCQ) with heightened restrictions:

Luzon

  • Ilocos Sur
  • Cagayan
  • Quezon
  • Batangas
  • Naga City 

Visayas

  • Antique
  • Bacolod City
  • Capiz 
  • Cebu Province
  • Negros Oriental

Mindanao

  • Zamboanga del Sur
  • Misamis Oriental
  • Davao City
  • Davao del Norte
  • Davao Occidental 
  • Davao de Oro 
  • Butuan City
