Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso advised public servants to accept the public’s challenge to have themselves vaccinated publicly against the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) to alleviate fears on getting vaccinated.

“To show the government that we are serious about the vaccines, we will get ourselves vaccinated first to ease the fear of the people,” Domagoso said during his visit to fire victims in Baseco and Santa Ana on Thursday.

“The people’s worries should be addressed by leaders. Leaders should be followed,” the mayor said.

Meanwhile, the Manila mayor is willing to get the Covid-19 vaccine in public to showcase that vaccines are safe and to also encourage local residents to do the same.

The city government has already prepared a comprehensive vaccination roadmap. The city has also launched a special website where local residents of Manila can sign up to get the vaccine for free. Ronald dela Cruz
