The Maynilad Water Services Inc. has scheduled a four-day water interruption next week in its west zone concession area.

Around 2.9 million people will be affected with the water interruption as the company launches a massive pipeline replacement. The said move is part of the flood control project of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Metro Manila.

Maynilad Water Supply Operations head Ronald Padua said in a briefing that the water interruption will range from 25 to 85 hours, between October 25, 2021 (Monday) to October 28, 2021 (Thursday).

Around 421,000 water service connections (WSCs) or 2.5 million people will be affected.

Among the said number, 60,000 WSCs or 420,000 people in Sampaloc, Manila will experience water interruption for three consecutive days.

Las Pinas, Makati, Manila, Paranaque, Pasay, and several areas in Cavite, namely Bacoor, Cavite City, Imus, Kawit, Noveleta, and Rosario will also be affected with Maynilad’s activity. Ronald Espartinez
