President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Vice President Sara Duterte-Carpio earned high approval and trust ratings in March 2023, results of a survey conducted by the OCTA Research Team showed.

As per OCTA’s “Tugon ng Masa” survey conducted from March 24 to 28, 80 percent of Filipinos remained content with the president, while 83 percent continued to trust him.

Duterte-Carpio garnered an 84-percent approval rating and an 87-percent trust rating.

Among all regions, Visayas gave Marcos Jr. the highest satisfaction rating of 89 percent, while Duterte-Carpio received her highest rating of 92 percent from Mindanao.

Both officials received their lowest satisfaction ratings, with 73 percent for Marcos and 76 percent for Duterte-Carpio, in Metro Manila.

Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri and Speaker Martin Romualdez obtained majority approval and trust ratings in the survey. Zubiri received a 53-percent approval rating and a 50-percent trust rating, while Romualdez received a 59-percent approval rating and a 55-percent trust rating.

Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo was the only one who received less than a majority approval and trust ratings, with 41 percent and 39 percent, respectively.

The OCTA survey utilized face-to-face interviews with 1,200 adult participants nationwide. It has a ±3% margin of error at a 95-percent confidence level. John Ezekiel J. Hirro
