President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. was given his booster vaccine jab against Covid-19 on Friday.

Marcos received a Pfizer booster jab during the PinasLakas Vaccination Campaign in SM City Manila.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire administered the jab.

Marcos Jr. said he hoped his receiving a booster shot would “demonstrate how important it is to us that everybody get their booster.”

“With us trying to open the economy, us trying to open the schools, trying to bring everything back to a normal situation. Sa dami ng hinaharap nating problema, to bring it back to a normal situation and the importance that this booster will play in bringing us back to that condition,” he said.

Marcos had caught Covid-19 twice: the first time in March 2020 and the second in July this year.

The president earlier said the decision to adjust alert levels would hinge on an area’s population’s booster-shot uptake. John Ezekiel J. Hirro
