The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) arrested a man for allegedly selling unauthorized stickers of the presidential seal and other government agencies’ emblems.
Leon Cruz III was arrested via an entrapment operation in Barangay Bambang in Taguig City on June 4.
Cruz was seen selling emblems of the presidential seal, Bureau of Customs, and Philippine Coast Guard among others. He offers this via online selling according to the authorities.
Two parcels containing five seals of the Office of the President of the Philippines stickers and 24 NBI stickers were seized from Cruz.
The suspect will be facing charges in violation of Executive Order No. 141, s. 1999 or the Prohibition against the Forgery and unauthorized use of the seal of the President of the Philippines, according to NBI. Ronald Espartinez
