A magnitude 5.2 quake jolted Surigao Del Sur at 10:25am on Thursday, according to Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS-DOST). 

The epicenter of the quake is 82 kilometers northeast of Bayabas, Surigao Del Sur with 15km depth of focus.

Intensity III was felt in Tandag City; Marihatag, Surigao del Sur.

Intensity II hit Bayabas, Surigao del Sur.

Intensity was felt in Cagwait, Surigao del Sur.

The quake was tectonic in origin.

According to Phivolcs, the quake was an aftershock of the September 21, 2020 5.7-magnitude earthquake also in Bayabas, Surigao del Sur.

No damages were reported.  Philvolcs said no aftershocks are expected. RJ Espartinez
