A magnitude 5.2 quake rocks ​San Fernando, La Union, Saturday, May 28, less than 24 hours after magnitude 5.1 quake struck the city.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the quake struck on 01:17, 17kms. of San Fernando.  It struck at a depth of 57 kilometers.

Intensity IV was felt at San Fernando City, Caba, Tubao, Agoo, Naguilian, Aringay, San Juan, Bacnotan, Luna & Balaoan towns in La Union; Dagupan City, Labrador & Bolinao in Pangasinan and Tuba & La Trinidad in Benguet.

Intensity III was recorded at Tayug, Santol, San Gabriel, Pugo, Sudipen & Bauang towns in La Union; Urdaneta City, Alaminos City, Puzzorubio, Asingan & Villasis in Pangasinan; Baguio City; Santa Lucia, Tagudin, Sta. Cruz, Sugpon & Vigan City, Ilocos Sur; Itogon, Benguet; Tarlac City; Asingan, Pozurrubio, Tayug, Binalonan, Sison & San Fabian municipalities in Pangasinan and even as far as Obando, Bulacan; Quezon City and Marikina City in Metro Manila

Intensity II was recorded in San Nicolas, City of Laoag & Batac, Ilocos Norte; City of Candon, San Domingo, Santa, Bantay, Caoayan, San Juan, Cabugao, Masingal, Alilem, Banayoyo, Burgos, Cervantes, Gregorio del Pilar, Galimuyod, Lidlidda, Quirino, Salcedo, San Emilio, San Esteban, San Ildefenso, San Vicente, Santiago, Sigay, Santa Catalina, Santa Maria & Sinait in Ilocos Sur; in San Fernando, Pampanga; Valenzuela City; Caloocan City; Navotas City; Pasay City; Parañaque City; City of Manila in Metro Manila; the City of San Jose Del Monte in Bulacan and Cainta, Rizal province.

Intensity I was recorded in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte.

No damage to property has been reported.

Aftershocks are to be expected according to Phivolcs.
