A magnitude 5.1 quake shook Aurora province and its surrounding provinces at 10:10 AM, Saturday, May 23, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
The epicenter was located at 15 km South of San Luis, Aurora. It has a depth of 7 kms. The quake’s origin, according to Phivolcs, was tectonic. The agency also warned of aftershocks.

- Intensity VI – Baler, Aurora
- Intensity IV – Palayan City; Dingalan, Aurora
- ntensity II – Quezon City
