A magnitude 5.0 quake rocked Occidental Mindoro, Monday morning according to the Philippine Institute for Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

The state seismology agency said the epicenter of the quake was located at 58 km southwest of San Jose, Occidental Mindoro with a depth of 17 kilometers.  It was tectonic in origin.

Intensity IV was felt at San Jose, Occidental Mindoro

Instrumental Intensities were recorded in the following areas:
Intensity III – San Jose, Occidental Mindoro
Intensity II – Roxas, Oriental Mindoro; Sebaste, Antique
Intensity I – Jamindan, Capiz
