The LRT2’s operating hours have been extended to give passengers more time to catch the last train, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) said.

The LRTA said in an advisory on Friday that the operations of LRT2 will be extended “to serve more passengers” starting June 17, 2022.

“From the original schedule of 8:30 p.m., the last commercial train departing from Antipolo station will be adjusted to 9:00 p.m.,” it said.

The last commercial train from Recto station will leave at 9:30 p.m. from the original 9:00 p.m.

“The move is line with the goal of the Department of Transportation (DOTr), under the leadership of Secretary Art Tugade, and the Light Rail Transit Authority to aid the commuting needs of the riding public by serving for longer hours as more employees are returning to onsite work and students attending face-to-face classes,” the LRTA said.
