The Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2) will allow pets starting Feb. 1, an administrator confirmed on Thursday.

Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) administrator Hernando Cabrera said in a public briefing that pets in cages wearing diapers would be allowed to board LRT-2 trains starting next month.

“Beginning Feb. 1, puwede nang magdala at magsakay ng ating mga pets sa mga istasyon at tren ng LRT-2,” he said.

Pets must be fully vaccinated, he added.

Cabrera said pets must also be of a certain size and not “too big,” although he did not what specify pet sizes would be prohibited.

The LRTA official said he hoped the same pet-friendly measure would be implemented in the LRT-1.
