Only four percent of the country’s active cases as of Feb. 22 are critical, an official of the Department of Health (DOH) has said.
In a Palace briefing, Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said the number of critical Covid-19 cases in the country were on the decline along with the country’s daily Covid-19 cases,
“Karamihan sa mga na-ospital ay mild at moderate ang sintomas. Patotoo ito na mabisang panangga ang mga bakuna laban sa malubha at kritikal na sakit na dulot ng Covid-19,” Vergeire said.
The country has more than 62.6 million individuals fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
It has 55,449 active Covid-19 cases as of Feb. 23.
On Wednesday, the country’s Covid-19 recovery rate hit 97 percent for the first time since Jan. 4.
