Vice President Leni Robredo presented her Senate slate for the upcoming 2022 national elections.

In a live joint press conference on Friday, the presidential aspirant and her running mate, Senator Francis Pangilinan, announced the 11 names that will join her in the 2022 elections.

1. Former Representative Teddy Baguilat Jr. (Liberal Party)
2. Former Vice President Jejomar Binay (United Nationalist Alliance)
3. Senator Leila De Lima (Liberal Party)
4. Human rights lawyer Chel Diokno (Katipunan ng Nagkakaisang Pilipino)
5. Sorsogon Governor Chiz Escudero (Nationalist People’s Coalition)
6. Senator Richard Gordon (Bagumbayan VNP Movement)
7. Senator Risa Hontiveros (Akbayan Party)
8. Alex Lacson (Kapatiran Party)
9. Former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV (Liberal Party)
10. Senator Joel Villanueva (Independent)
11. Senator Miguel Zubiri (Independent)

Robredo admitted that some of the candidates in her senatorial slate had past issues with each other, but the vice president said it is all in the past and that they are now focused on bringing unity.

“May mga hindi pagkakasundo sa mga daang tinahak before, yung handang makipag kaisa ay malaking bagay na yon. Ang shinashare namin ngayon yung aspirations para sa bansa natin,” said Robredo.

The 12th slot in Robredo’s senatorial slate is still open. However, Robredo said that their team is still in talks with several candidates to fill their last remaining slot in their senatorial slate. – Jack Russel R. Ramos
