Vice President and presidential aspirant Leni Robredo, and her running mate Senator Kiko Pangilinan, along with their senatorial slate have concluded their 90-day people’s campaign with over 780,000 supporters in Ayala, Makati.
“Bawat isa sa inyo, patunay: Hindi lahat natutulog ngayong isinusulat ang kasaysayan,” Robredo told the cheering mammoth crowd that colored Ayala Avenue and Makati Avenue in Makati City. “Ngayong gabi, buong pagmamalaki nating masasabi: ‘Nandito ako, kasama ako, tumataya ako.’”
Robredo mentioned the beginning of her story as presidential aspirant in October 2021, adding that during that time, she could still see supporters among the crowd.
“Ngayon, hindi ko na matanaw ang dulo ng mga taong kasama natin ngayon. Totoong walang kayang tumugma sa nagkakaisang lakas ng sambayanang Pilipino,” she said.
The location of the miting de avance has been the place of many historic moments in the country’s political history.
Some of the country’s biggest names in show business were present to support the Robredo-Pangilinan tandem. They were Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, Iza Calzado, Angel Locsin, Kim Chiu, Anne Curtis, and Vice Ganda. — Ronald Espartinez
