President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday night placed Lanao del Sur under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) and retained Metro Manila’s general community quarantine (GCQ) spot for another month.
Aside from Metro Manila, GCQ will also be imposed in Batangas, Tacloban, Bacolod, Iligan and Iloilo City which was previously under MECQ.
The rest of the country will be under modified GCQ.
The classifications will take effect on Oct. 1 and last until Oct. 31.
