A Lanao del Sur lawmaker has procured brand-new ambulances for 11 local government units (LGUs) in his province.
Ansarrudin “Hooky” Alonto Adiong, representative of Lanao del Sur’s first district, turned over the ambulances to the LGUs of Amai Manabilang, Bubong, Maguing, Marantao, Poona Bayabao, Lumba Bayabao, Piagapo, Taraka, Buadipuso Buntong, Tagoloan and Wao.
The turnover ceremony was held at the Capitol Grounds of the New Capitol Complex in Marawi City.
Each ambulance has a stretcher and medical equipment, which will help LGUs in dealing with emergencies especially the coronavirus disease outbreak.
The lawmaker also said he would procure dump trucks for the municipalities of Ditsaan Ramain, Marantao, Saguiaran and Taraka for use in their public markets. (Jojo Mangahis)
