Vice President and presidential aspirant Leni Robredo said that Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan will remain her running mate, noting that it is normal for supporters to back other vice presidential aspirants.
Robredo was referring to a group of supporters campaigning for the ROSA tandem (Leni Robredo-Sara Duterte).
The said movement is composed of Albay Rep. Joey Salceda, Cagayan de Oro Rep. Rufus Rodriguez and Zamboanga City Mayor Isabela Climaco. The group is endorsing both citing their efficiency in giving social services during the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Ako, klaro naman from the start…until now, until the very end – ang vice president ko, si Kiko Pangilinan. Hindi naiiwasan, hindi naman ngayon lang na eleksyon, pero kahit nung mga nakaraang eleksyon, may mga supporters na iba yung choices, iba yung pinupush na combinations,” Robredo said.
“Pero as far as I am concerned, as far as the official campaign structure is concerned, ang aking vice president until the very end ay Kiko Pangilinan,” she added.
Robredo placed second while Pangilinan was at third place in pre-election surveys amid the overflowing support the tandem is receiving in various campaign rallies around the country. Ronald Espartinez
