K-pop’s power youngsters ITZY want you to break free from all hesitations and do what you want to do with “Not Shy.”

The group pulled no punches as they made their comeback on Monday with the music video release of their 3rd mini album title track, “Not Shy,” which marked the end of their IT’z trilogy era.

“Not Shy” was reminiscent of the group’s past song concepts since their debut: self-empowering, confidence-boosting and extremely positive.

Yuna and Chaeryeong’s lines comprise the catchy chorus of the title track, whose lyrics were written by JYP Entertainment’s J.Y. Park himself.

Yeji and Ryujin each delivered short rap verses that fit the song’s fast hip-hop and garage-infused production.

The general upbeat mood of the song shifts to a softer vibe in bridges, thanks to Lia’s soothing vocals.

But the latest comeback also showed the girls’ fierce side.

The music video starts with a Wild West movie-like introduction of each member.

With Yeji on the driver’s seat, the girls go in pursuit of a mysterious van in the middle of the desert.

The mystery van would later be revealed to contain— wait for it— multiple boxes of cake.

The song is also accompanied by sophisticated choreography, as expected of the sophomore group.

The “Not Shy” album is six tracks long.
