Health officials in Central Visayas launched on Wednesday a manual to implement the community vaccination in the region.
Retired general Mel Feliciano, Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF)-Visayas chief implementer, prepared the plan together with Department of Health Central Visayas Director Dr. Jaime Bernadas.
The manual was crafted after the Regional IATF noted that other vaccination rollouts “were not quite organized” due to lack of information.
Early this year, the Visayas Covid-19 Vaccination Operations Center in Cebu did a pilot testing using the manual in Mandaue City, which officials said yielded positive results.
Local officials from various towns and cities in Cebu received copies of the manual during the launching.
About 120,000 people have been inoculated in Central Visayas. Some of them have received their second doses. Ryan Sorote
