The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases has lifted the suspension of the inbound travel of locally stranded individuals (LSIs) to Western Visayas.

IATF approved the measure in Resolution No. 71 signed on Sept. 15.

“The IATF approves the partial lifting of the temporary suspension of inbound travel by returning residents to Region 6, as approved during the Inter-Agency Task Force Resolution 69 dated Sept. 7, 2020,” it read.

The suspension will remain in Iligan City, Lanao del Sur and Bacolod City—areas under modified enhanced community quarantine until Sept. 30.

Malacañang stressed that requests for the imposition, extension and lifting of moratorium of local government units will be decided by the regional IATF branches and enforced by the National Task Force.

“This is to ensure that the proper process is followed by LGUs,” Palace spokesman Harry Roque said. John Ezekiel J. Hirro
