The Miami Heat on Monday (PH time) capped off their dominant Eastern Conference run as they toppled the Boston Celtics in Game 6, 125-113, for the team’s first NBA Finals berth since 2014.
Miami only finished as the Eastern Conference’s fifth seed but went on a shocking playoff run, eliminating first-seed Milwaukee Bucks, fourth-seed Indiana Pacers and third-seed Boston Celtics en route to the finals.
Bam Adebayo, the NBA’s most improved player for the 2019-2020 season, led all scorers with 32 points and a game-high 14 rebounds.
Jimmy Butler’s 22 points and Heat rookie Tyler Herro’s 19 points off the bench also helped Miami’s cause.
Miami will face the Lebron James and Anthony Davis-led Los Angeles Lakers in the finals. Game 1 will start on Thursday (PH time).
