Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. on Thursday said that the government was planning to create an “elaborate” program that would address mental problems among Covid-19 survivors.

In a Palace briefing, Galvez said the program would be included in the country’s national action plan against Covid-19.

And with that we have talked to the experts so that we can explore iyong tinatawag nating further mental care and social healing after this pandemic,” he added.

Galvez said the government had been notified of cases of Covid-19 patients committing suicide even after beating the disease.

The Philippines has recorded 1,028,738 Covid-19 cases as of April 29.

Of the total, 942,239 have recovered and 17,145 have died. John Ezekiel J. Hirro
