Establishments under Alert Level 1 are now allowed to operate at full capacity, the Palace announced on Tuesday.

Citing an Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Emerging Infectious Diseases decision, acting Palace spokesman Martin Andanar said only fully vaccinated individuals would be accommodated in establishments.

“The IATF recognizes the need to further identify the establishments and/or activities which are allowed to operate, or be undertaken in Alert Level 1,” Andanar said.

“Kaugnay nito, pinayagan ng IATF ang full 100 percent capacity sa ilalim ng Alert Level 1, ngunit kailangan magpakita ng katibayan ng full vaccination bago makasama sa malawakang pagtitipun-tipon o papasukin sa indoor establishments,” he added.

The majority of the country is under Alert Level 1 until June 15.

Alert Level 1 is imposed over areas “wherein case transmission is low and decreasing” and “total bed utilization rate, and intensive care unit utilization rate are low.”

The IATF guidelines also encouraged windows to be left open if possible in workplaces and public transport to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

Face masks are also required to be worn “at all times” except for when eating and drinking, participating in team and individual sports and venues where ventilation standards can be maintained, and practicing outdoor sports and exercise activities where distancing can be maintained.
