Malacañang on Monday sad the government would provide cash aid to eligible individuals in Laguna and Bataan, recent additions to the list of areas under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).

Palace spokesman Harry Roque said the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) was proposing a P2.715 billion budget for financial aid in Laguna.

The DBM has yet to determine the budget allocation for Bataan, which shifted to ECQ on Aug. 8.

“Sa Bataan po, ang total cash aid ay kino-compute pa po based on ongoing consultations with the DILG and the Bataan LGU,” Roque said.

He said families in the two provinces would be eligible for the same amount of cash aid.

“Ganoon din po ang magiging arrangements natin, P1,000 per person and maximum of P4,000 per household at sapat naman po ang ating savings and dividends para bayaran po itong ayuda sa Laguna at Bataan,” Roque said.

Also under ECQ are Metro Manila, Laguna, Iloilo City and Cagayan de Oro.
