The government’s inter-agency pandemic task force has allowed workshops, seminars, conventions and similar events in areas under general community quarantine, Malacañang said on Friday.

“The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for Emerging Infectious Diseases on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020, allowed the conduct of workshops, trainings, seminars, congresses, conferences, board meetings, colloquia, conclaves, symposia and consumer trade shows,” Palace spokesman Harry Roque said in a statement.

These events could be held at up to 30 percent capacity of venues, he said.

Additionally, the IATF specified that only restaurants including those attached to hotels, ballrooms and function halls within hotels, venues within hotel premises and mall atria could be used as venues.

The Department of Tourism and the Department of Trade and Industry were directed to jointly issue guidelines for the above-mentioned events.
