The number of individuals fully vaccinated against Covid-19 in the Philippines has breached 60 million, the Palace reported on Tuesday.

In his media briefing, acting Palace spokesman Karlo Nograles said 129,125,464 Covid-19 vaccine doses had been deployed by the government.

“Nasa mahigit 60.7 million na ang naka-first dose habang nasa mahigit 60.1 million ang naka-complete dose o fully vaccinated ayon sa National Covid-19 Vaccination Dashboard,” he said.

More than 8.2 Filipinos have received booster shots against Covid-19.

The government is aiming to vaccinate 90 million Filipinos by June 2022.

The government is also eyeing to provide 72.16 million booster doses to Filipinos by yearend.

Those who have completed their vaccinations should request for new VaxCertPH certificates via vaxcert.doh.gov.ph, Nograles said.

“The DOH (Department of Health) is encouraging those who generated their VaxCertPH certificates before Feb. 7, 2022 to request for the new version of VaxCertPH online. In-update po ang VaxCertPH at nagkaroon ng bagong features,” he said.

The Philippines has recorded 105,550 active Covid-19 cases as of Feb. 8. John Ezekiel J. Hirro
