Cavite’s 7th Congressional District will hold a special election on February 25, 2023 to fill the position vacated by Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla, the Commission on Elections said.
“Automated elections po ang gagamitin natin dito so kami po ay handang mag imprenta ng balota na automated. Gagamit po ng vote-counting machines dito po sa 7th District ng Cavite,” said Comelec spokesperson Rex Laudiangco.
Laudiangco said that interested candidates may start filing their certificates of candidacy on December 5.
The House of Representatives in July adopted a resolution calling on the Commission on Elections to conduct a special election in the seventh district of Cavite to replace Remulla.
Meanwhile, Laudiangco mentioned that voter registration will resume on December 12, 2022 and will last until January 31, 2023.
